Manali is a hill station nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley
The climate in Manali is predominantly cold during winters, and moderately cool during summers. The temperatures range from 4 °C (39 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F) over the year. The average temperature during summer is between 04 °C (39 °F) and 15 °C (59 °F), and between −15 °C (5 °F) and 05 °C (41 °F) in the winter.

Place To Visit In Manali

Rohtang Pass:-
Rohtang Pass, is a high mountain pass on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas around 51 km from Manali. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh

Hadimba Temple:-
Hadimba Temple in Manali is one of the major tourist attractions comes in local tourist places. It is a four storey wooden temple. Located in the middle of dense forest Called Van Vihar and from the name of the forest only the temple drives its name. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba and was erected in 1553. There are lots of hotels in Manali which are nearby Hadimba temple.
Hadimba in Mahabharat has been idealized and worshipped in this particular area. In Mahabharat few of the sub mountainous tracts of the Himalayas were ruled by Hadimb Rakshah. Hadimba was his sister.

Vashist Hot Water Springs:-
Nature has blessed Himachal pradesh with a number of Hot Springs. Hot Springs in Himachal Pradesh have become very popular because of their medicinal properties. Most of these springs are located in the Beas and Satluj valleys. Generally found in Himachal Pradesh are three types of Hot Springs - Simple Springs, Mineral Springs and Thermal Springs. Simple Springs are just like any ordinary springs coming out from an underground source to surface. Mineral Springs contain water with some mineral dissolved in it. Thermal Springs are very hot. The famous Hot Springs in Himachal Pradesh are as follows

Solang Valley:-
Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 kms in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Solang Valley has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organised in Solang Valley. Sking and Paragliding are two main activities are organised here. Apart from this many other adventure sports are available like Zorbing, Horse riding & Snow Motor Bikes riding etc.

Basheshwar Mahadev Temple:-
This magnificent temple is located approximately 15 kilometers away from Kullu on the banks of the River Beas. It is built in a pyramid style and houses a large "Yoni-Lingam" idol representing Lord Shiva and his wife Goddess Parvati. The history of this majestic temple dates back to the 9th century AD and is famous for its intricate stone carvings. One can also see the idols of other Hindu deities like Lord Vishnu, Ganesha, Durga, and Laxmi are housed inside the temple and the Ganesha idol is placed in a three sided shrine outside the temple. This huge temple, which is located at a small village called Bajura, is built in a pyramid style.

Nehru Kund:-
Nehru Kund is a natural spring in the region. Located at a distance of around 6 km from Manali, it has been named after the late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The Kund has derived its name from Nehru, as he used to drink water from it, on his journey to Manali. The Kund is located on the Manali-Keylong Road.

Sultanpur Palace:-
Sultanpur Palace was formerly called as the Rupi Palace and is newly built on the remnants of the older which was damaged in an earthquake. The palace houses various wall paintings and its marvelous blend of Pahari style architecture and colonial style. The palace is the residence of the erstwhile Rulers of the Kullu valley.

Bijli Mahadev Temple:-
Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460m in the Kullu Valley. Bijli Mahadev is one of the excellent temples in India.

Beas River:-
The Beas River is a river in north India. The river rises in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, India, and flows for some 470 kilometres to the Sutlej River in the Indian state of Punjab

Ma Sharvari Temple:-
Sharvari Temple, 5 km from the main market of Manali, is a beautiful temple situated in hassle free and quiet picturesque surroundings above Shaminallah village. Maa Sharvari is represented as ‘Kuldevi’ of the kings of Kullu in early times and is worshipped as a manifestation of goddess Durga throughout the region. Tourists can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Kullu valley from Sharvari temple.
